I have a problem. i strongly believe in god. and i believe my experiences and other things are evidences for god. but atheists are not impressed and still do not believe me. and they use logic and reason to explain why those are

not proof of god. and part of me agrees with that. but another part tells me god does exist. so i have conflicting

feelings that torture me. i don't like to not believe in god. yet at the same time it makes some sense to me. its

perhaps mind vs heart

Atheist: listen man, the ideas of new age religions, personal gods, crystal healing, astrology, psychics....there is no proof for any of it when tested. When the only evidence one can find of its existence is from other psychics, astrologers, crystal energy advocates etc, that is a major problem
if it worked science would embrace it and use it
if it worked there would be a great use for it no?
I mean, imagine being able to know what is going to happen to you in the year, or in the day, that is some pretty useful stuff...science would be all over it
or imagine new age energy being used in medicine, personal growth etc, science would love to have that as a tool

what about these people getting "cured" by cancer using reikki or crystal healing....where is the proof? If it is so real, there would be a report on it

the point is, this woman was a nationally renowned psychic and she completely fucked up the mans life pretending like she knew what was going on with him, pretending to read the stars and his future

Atheist:yes, he said that "this" problem" was because of his daughter taking advantage and the tarot cards confirm it, and "this" problem" was because his lifepartner was doing "____" and the stars confirm it, "this" problem" is because your sons are "____" and the crystals tell me this....
these people may or may not believe in their "powers" but one thing is for certain, they don't have any and it causes more harm then good because you are then shutting out the ability to get to the TRUTH of the issue

It is because everything is perspective and experience related. A liberal is a Liberal because they have

experienced Liberal policies helping out a poor family. Conservatives are Conservative because they have seen those

policies help create jobs for a family on hard times.

An Atheist who has never experienced God will not believe, and a believer who has, will never give up faith.

It's fun to debate these things and all, but in the end we all depend on our experiences to shape the way we feel,

and see the world.

Which is why some people may seem stubborn, some seem like they just wont open their mind up to other

possibilities.....that's because their experiences validate their beliefs.

Maybe we should keep that in mind when wanting to slam our heads against the wall while trying to "educate"

someone, or "wake them up"."
